General Wesley Clark has announced that NATO destroyed 93 Yugoslav tanks and many other military equipment. You can see here one of Yugoslav tank. This, dug in, “JUGO” car was produced in the “Zastava “ factory in Kragujevac. This factory was bombed in the first days of war. Big pipe was put through the windshield and a few branches were put on it. This “tank” were destroyed in the third air attack by A-10. Photo was taken on 14.05.1999. near the village Sojevo (Kosovo). According the reports of the Yugoslav solders, major entertainment in Kosovo during the war was production of dummy tanks.Original idea was to force NATO aircraft to waste expansive high precision bomb on cheep decoy.The Yugo car with the pipe probably fooled the smart missile because they use pattern recognition in targeting. A car with four wheels and a pipe through the windshield fits the pattern of a tank nicely.

When the production was finished, “tank-decoy” was observed from the safe distance until it was destroyed.
