Spitfire Mk Vb, ES257 / X, 352 Sqn RAF -
Prva eskadrila NOVJ, Vis , August - September 1944.
The model shows a Vb used in initial operations and later handed over to Italian
Co-Belligerent forces.
The same Smer kit in 1:72(Heller mould), but the canopy was scratchbuilt to suit later
production
standard, elevator horn balance changed, wheels replaced by those from Airfix MkVb and a
Rotol prop
blades were scratchbuilt. Decals by Blue Rider. References same as below. |

Spitfire Mk Vc, MH592 / G, 352 Sqn RAF -
Prva eskadrila NOVJ, Vis, autumn 1944. The model represents an aircraft flown by Squadron
Leader Hinko Soic. The same Smer kit was used as basis for conversion. Changes were the
same as for JK808 , but a scratchbuilt Aboukir sand filter was used, bombs added and the
Rotol prop from Airfix MkVb replaced the kit's de Havilland. Decals by Blue Rider.

Spitfire Mk Vc JK808 / B, 352 Sqn RAF - Prva
eskadrila NOVJ, spring 1945. The model represents an aircraft that is now exhibited in the
Yugoslav Aeronautical Museum in Belgrade.This is Smer's Spitfire Vb converted, 1:72, so
the mould is old Heller, with the following changes: New canopy was made to suit later
production standard, IFF aerial added, new exhausts were scratchbuilt, wing modified from
Vb to Vc, including all the buldges, re-scribing and second cannon position, and the bomb
racks were added. Slipper tank was also attached. Elevator horn balance was changed to
later production standard, and wheels replaced with better ones from the spares box.
